Throughout my first and second year so far, I have done many projects. Some of which more professional than others. I have also done many written documents in my ENG 2003 course. I will showcase three of them on this page and I’ll be sure to also showcase another fun project that I did in a different course.
ENG 2003: Cover Letter
In this project, I had to write a cover letter to apply for a job. This was a very realistic project. After my graduation I will have to write these types of letters. I was able to extend my knowledge about how to write a cover letter. What style it should be and what kind of font or how much spacing should be made or what type of information should be included. Overall, I enjoyed writing this letter knowing i will have to write a real one in near future.
ENG 2003: Poster
A very fun project!
For this project I had to choose a topic and make a poster about it. The topic I chose was Renewable Energy. This topic is very important to me because burning oil and gas for energy causes environmental effects and we will eventually run out of this type of energy anyways. Renewable Energy poster that I made was easy to understand and contained lots of information and figures to support my solution.
ENG 2003: Renewable Energy Full Technical Report
Time consuming!
In this project, I wrote an entire Report about my choice of topic. I wrote about Renewable Energy Solar Panels. I specifically wrote about different types of solar panels and how they function. I also talk about the different type of material that can be used to manufacture these solar panels so they can be more efficient!
AutoCAD: Fourth piece of work (drawings)
In this project, I work with a software called AutoCAD which is used to draw accurate map of buildings, bridges or towers. In this software I drew three challenging map of a building. One contains the outside, dimensions and the shape. The other one is way more specific about the detailed map of the inside of the house. which shows exact dimensions and shapes. It even shows the furniture inside and where they will be. Overall, this project took a lot of time but at the end it turned out to be a great practice for my future work.
